The Dokhan company is a collective of rising and established artists, well known designers as well as highly experienced artisans who work hand in hand in the making of precious marble marquetry masterpieces.
ITS FOUNDER, RAPHAËL CHALMIN, BELONGS TO A FAMILY THAT HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE EUROPEAN ART WORLD FOR CENTURIES.
His deep interest in art – from antiquity to contemporary – is at the root of Dokhan’s outstanding creative process. Dokhan’s artists and designers produce extraordinarily refined pieces for highly knowledgeable and international clients.
DOKHAN’S MARBLE MARQUETRY IS ENTIRELY HANDMADE; A LONG AND DEMANDING PROCESS THAT HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED SINCE THE ROMAN AND RENAISSANCE PERIODS.
It takes over a year to complete an elaborated design by no less than six experienced and meticulous artisans under the supervision of Dokhan’s master artisan.
Dokhan’s production is therefore necessarily limited to ensure the highest quality standards. Most of Dokhan’s clients are also fine art connoisseurs who value the quality of the raw materials and know-how up to the last detail.
True craftsmanship deserves a brand that reflects the same uncompromising standards.
